Leon Fritz Warrior, a beloved soul with a radiant spirit, was born on November 10, 1968, in Perry, Oklahoma. He graced this world for 56 years before passing on November 13, 2024, near his home of Kaufman, Texas.
Leon’s journey through life was marked by an exceptional career as a paralegal, where he wielded his expertise with both diligence and grace. His education was rooted in an enthusiastic pursuit of knowledge, culminating in his associate’s degree from Oscar Rose Community College. Yet it was not only his intellect that defined him; it was his magnetic personality that could light up any room. With kindness woven into the fabric of his being, Leon possessed an innate ability to make others feel at ease, drawing them in with a warmth that was unmistakably his own.
His laughter echoed like a melody, infused with an enthusiastic sense of humor that effortlessly connected him to everyone he encountered. Friends and strangers alike were touched by his ability to relate, converse, and share stories, creating bonds that would last throughout the years.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Leon found solace in reading, immersing himself in the works of his favorite author, Stephen King. His love for artful storytelling extended to an appreciation of all genres of music, particularly R&B. Those who knew him could attest to his unique talent—a special gift that allowed him to identify artists and bands with a mere note or lyric, a testament to the depth of his passion for music.
Leon was a full-blooded American Indian and his heritage is from the Ponca Indian Tribe of Oklahoma. Throughout Oklahoma, the Ponca Indians were known for their knowledge of traditional songs and dances. The Ponca Tribe made significant contributions to the development of Pow Wow culture on the southern plains.
Leon shared a lifetime of love and companionship with his devoted spouse of thirty-six years, Michael J. Sharp. Together, they crafted a joyful existence filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love. Their companionship was a beautiful testament to a partnership built on love, respect, and devotion.
He also leaves behind dear friend Donna Barry (spouse - Carlton), his in-laws, Jay and Nancy Sharp; his sister-in-law Valerie Wilson (spouse – Wayne), all who shared in the moments of life that were painted with joy and warmth. Leon’s home was forever filled with love, including the playful presence of his cherished fur babies: Bear Bear, Bunny Bun, Lucy Lou, Boo Boo, Daisy Mae Bell, and Mama. These beloved companions not only enriched his life but also held a special place in his heart.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Eli and Emelia Warrior, whose love nurtured him in his formative years and whose memories he carried throughout his life.
