Lindsey Kayla Moore

April 13, 1990 — July 6, 2024

Ottawa, Ohio

Lindsey Kayla Moore, age 34, a former resident of Kaufman, left our world for her heavenly home on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Bridge Hospice in Findlay, Ohio, after a 3 ½ year courageous battle from Stage 4 Glioblastoma. She was born on April 13, 1990, in Dallas, Texas to her parents George Moore and Cynthia Witt.

Lindsey is survived by her mother, Cynthia (Bryan Killingsworth) Witt; her father, George Moore; step-father, Jimmy Manning; adopted child, Isabell Closson; five siblings: Kameron Moore, Delaina (Wesley Scoggins) Moore, Bryanna Killingsworth, Tarah Manning, and Jacob Manning; maternal grandparents, Clyde and Paula Akin; aunts and uncles: Debra (Buddy) Hickman, Bob (Sheila) Moore, Marcus (Tammy) Moore, Mickie Kalb, Brandon Witt, David Akin, Daniel Akin, Molly Akin, Robin Moore, and Amanda Smith; cousins: Jimmy Hickman (Blair, Maci, Kalli, Ralei), Ashley Green (Ryan, Ryker, Easton), Gabrielle Ellis (Andy, Cooper, Bonnie Jo), Nicholaus Bruce (Alyssa, Ryder, Axel), Christafer Bruce, Dylan Moore (Sicily, Zoey), Dalton (Laurie) Moore, Dean Moore (Chelsey, Ella), Kristie Biggs, Mistie Senick, Kaylie Powell, Haylie Kalb, Logan Kalb, Alyssa Akin, Taylor Roberts, McKynna and several other cousins, family and friends.

Preceding her in death was her paternal grandfather, Hershel Moore, paternal grandmother, Theresa Moore, and her aunt, Tonya Martin.

Lindsey or Kayla, depending on where you live, was an ABA Therapist for children with special needs, autism. She was an advocate until the end. Her family was immensely important to her, and she was close to her cousins who were more like best friends.

She moved to Ottawa, Ohio, to become a nanny for one, Isabelle Closson, who was her entire world. She acquired Izzy’s family and a new family in Chad and Kari Johnson.

Lindsey loved to travel and craved adventure. She said, “she would try anything once.” Her sarcasm and witty comebacks were known by all who knew and loved her. She made friends wherever she went, whether she wanted to or not, and maintained her friendships from every area/era of her life. She was a “Swiftie” for sure. One of Lindsey’s biggest highlights of her life was getting to go to the Eras Tour concert by Taylor Swift. Halloween was her favorite time of the year, and not just a regular Halloween, but a PINK Halloween. Lindsey impacted so many lives and she will be missed so much!

The family wishes to invite friends and extended family to a visitation and Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home Chapel from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Her Celebration of Life will begin at 6:00 PM, with Pastor Marcus Moore officiating.
