Lorne Wayne Johnson

Lorne Wayne Johnson, 57, of Dallas, TX passed away on October 3, 2022, in Mesquite, TX.  Lorne was born on November 16, 1964, to Billy and Lucy Johnson in Cleburne, TX.  He graduated from Cleburne High School in 1983 and went to Abilene Christian University for a little while.  Lorne worked several different jobs till he married the love of his life Joyce Johnson on December 8, 1990, and they have spent 31 years together.  He went to work for the state in 2001 and retired in 2019.  Lorne enjoyed ham radio, KE5ANB was his call sign.  He cheered for the Cowboys and Rangers, collected sports memorabilia, watching wrestling and umpiring softball games.  Lorne was an original member of Round Pen Cowboy Church and loved serving his church.  He was a beloved husband, father and brother.  His parents, Billy and Lucy, brother-in-law Billy Dewayne Johnson and mother-in-law Glenda Sundstrom preceded him in death.  Those left to cherish his memory are wife, Joyce, son Jonathan Addam Johnson, sister Loretta Jane Johnson and husband Gene Murray, nephew, who was raised as a brother Billy Johnson, Jr. and his wife Kassie, sister-in-law Trina Mayes, father-in-law Phillip Sundstrom, brother-in-law David Sundstrom and wife Buffy Sundstrom, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
