Lovie Beasley

Lovie Beasley, age 83, passed from this life on Saturday, June 24, 2023, following an extended illness.

Lovie was born on September 4, 1939, in Rockwall, Texas, to the late Lorenzo and Juanita Tevis. Lovie became an LPN and worked for the Veterans Administration in the states of Connecticut, Kansas, and Texas, caring for those who served in the armed forces. She was very progressive with her social activism. She also loved to sing and actively participate at church as one of the late members of Zion Travelers Baptist Church of Peeltown. 

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 43 years, Charles Beasley of Kemp; daughter Sheila Cain (spouse – Stanley) of Georgia; daughter Carmen Tyson of Dallas; son Calvin Beasley (spouse – Amber Miller) of Kemp; and son, J.C. Beasley of Vancouver, Washington. She has 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandpup.

Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family and share remembrances of Lovie during a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 29th, at the Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home chapel in Kaufman.

Lovie's Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, June 30th at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Rosser Cemetery in Rosser.
