Oscar Louis Blanton, Jr.

Oscar "Shunnie" Blanton, Jr., 95, of Kaufman, TX went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2019. Oscar was a Warsaw community native through his life and he ran the grocery store for many years there. He was rancher and a jack of all trades. Oscar married Lois Maureen Blanton on May 12, 1944, and they spent a wonderful 72 years together before she preceded him to the Lord and their daughter Rita Ann Allen also preceded him. He was a member of the Crandall First Baptist Church.  He was also active in the Kaufman County Livestock Show and Crandall FFA. Those left to cherish his memory are: son-in-law Danny Allen of Kaufman, TX, grandchildren: David Kent and wife Piper of Dallas, TX and Todd Kent and wife Khindra of Emory, TX; great grandchildren: Major, Dash, Mary Elizabeth, Katie, and Oscar, and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
