Rafael Barrera, Jr.

Rafael Barrera, Jr., 40, of Kaufman, TX passed away on October 24, 2023.  Rafael was born on July 2, 1983, to Rafael Barrera, Sr. and Becky De Los Reyes in Dallas, TX. He grew up in Kaufman, graduating from Kaufman High School in 2002. While in high school, he worked for Video Vision up till graduation. After graduation, Rafael started working at the Dallas DA’s office before working 18 years as a para legal for David Burrows.  He enjoyed watching movies, listening to music and going to comedy shows.  What Rafael loved most was doing his favorite things with his family and friends.  He just lived his life having a good time, a comedian himself, and making memories with the people he loved.  His father Rafael and nephew Aaron Torres preceded him in death.  Those left to cherish his memory are mother, Becky and husband Pedro, children: Nathan Barrera, Lily Barrera and Frank Barrera; siblings: Nina De La Cruz and husband Daniel, Adam Barrera, Steven Torres and wife Alyssa and Joseph Torres; nieces and nephews: Rebecca De La Cruz, Sophia De La Cruz, Khloe De La Cruz, Emma Torres and Samuel Torres; a cousin he grew up with Manuel Barrera, numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
