In Loving Memory of Ramona Jean Jones
Jean, known by many as Nanny, was born on February 6, 1930 to Clyde and Ella V. Eastep. She was one of 8 children who grew up in the Warsaw, Crandall area and a graduate of Crandall High School. Every time there was a class reunion, we would hear her sing the chant of Pirates Forever. She went on to become the mother of two children, Larry and Janice. She was a hard worker and retired from Padgett Printing in 1995. She was the Nanny of 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren with her 4th to be born this May. She was also Nanny to many, many people she met during her years in Kaufman. She loved her family, all her “kids” and her friends. She was blessed with a life full of people and love. Jean was fortunate to be able live in her own home up to the time of her passing, with the care of her son. She lived a long life with precious memories and now rests in the arms of Jesus.
She is survived by her son, Larry Eastep, granddaughter Holly Eastep, grandsons Jeremy Eastep and Russell Eastep, great-granddaughters Kodi Manning, Kaci Hodges and Aspen Eastep, great-grandsons Jackson Eastep and River Eastep, great-great granddaughter Hunter Manning and great-great grandsons Wylder and Rip Hodges, two brothers Guy Eastep and Dwain Eastep, along with many, many cousins and many loved ones she called her “kids”.
Proceeded in death by her parents, daughter Janice Webb, brothers Robert Eastep, Wayne Eastep and Jack Eastep, sisters Marie Tucker and Tommie Burgess.
