Ricky Thomas

Ricky Don Thomas of Kaufman, Tx, was born October 4, 1955, and was called home to Heaven

on December 12, 2023.  He lived most of his life in Kaufman, where he grew up attending

school, and graduated with the High School Class of `75.

Ricky then took a job with Aberdeen Mfg. and worked for 19 years.  Afterwards, he went to work

for ABOX Packaging Co. in which he was a truck driver for 12 years, and learned every Highway,

byway, and shortcut there was to Houston and other places.  The remainder years he worked

in the warehouse up until his retirement of 24 years with the company, in the year 2021.

Some of Ricky’s favorite pass times was listening to music and watching sports, and he could

talk your ear off about the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He was also a fan of NASCAR,

and had grew up around dirt track racing at Thunderbird Speedway. Ricky was a one of a kind

with an exceptionally brilliant memory, and a big heart. He will deeply be missed by his Family,

and others.

Ricky is preceded in death by his Father, Ernest (Tom) Thomas; Nephew, Thomas Cody Valentine;

Uncle, Earl Thomas Jr.; Aunt Norma (Thomas) and Uncle E.J. Weldon; Cousin, Jan (Thomas) Hupfauer.

Those left to cherish his memory are, Mother, Joyce Davis; Sister, Dixie Valentine & husband Brian; Step Brother, Ray Lambert Jr;  Nephew, Dustin Valentine, and wife Melissa;

Great-Niece, Audelia Valentine and mother, Cheyenne Luna, and a host of other family and friends.

A big extended thank you to all of the Kaufman Health Care Center employees for taking care of

Ricky in the past year and his final days here on this earth.
