Robert Lee Reamey

Robert Lee Reamey, 81, of Scurry, TX passed away on February 20, 2023, in Kemp, TX.  Robert was born on October 18, 1941 to Bert and Evelyn Reamey in Salinas, CA.  He was raised in California, and joined the USArmy when he was 17. His final duty station was Ft Hood, TX. After his retirement from the USArmy in 1979 as a Staff Sergeant, he lived in several small towns in Texas before settling in the Kaufman area in 2007.  Robert served in the Army for 21 years which included tours in Germany and Vietnam.  After retirement from the Army,  he worked as a Police Officer for 8 years and an armed security guard for 12 years before retiring.  Robert married Tina Lou Reamey on February 11, 1988 in Kemp, TX and they just recently marked 35 years together.  He enjoyed the time he spent scratch building remote control airplanes.  Robert was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Vietnam Veterans of America. He was a member of the Dallas Remote Control Club Flyers,  Academy of Model Aeronautics, Friends of Kaufman County Library and a long time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Forney, TX.  Robert and Tina enjoyed dining out frequently. They  once drove 3 hours one way for lunch and his favorite spot was Sam’s Buffet in Fairfield, TX.  He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother.  His parents, Bert and Evelyn, daughter Emmalee Rachel Reamey, and brother Peter preceded him in death.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Tina, children: Michele Lea Reamey, Robert Lee Reamey, Jr. and Daneel Lee Reamey; grandchildren: Hayden Reamey, Colten Reamey, Abby Reamey and many other grandchildren, and several great grandchildren; and several siblings: Ingrid, Kathy, Bobby Jo and Mark; and numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
