Rosalinda Rivera Brito, known affectionately as Rosa, passed away peacefully on October 27,2024, in Kaufman, Texas. Born on September 30, 1938, in the vibrant town of Reynosa, Mexico, she brought her warmth and kindness with her when she embarked on her journey to the United States coming as a migrant family to make a better life for her family. A devoted matriarch, her life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, hard work and faith.
For two decades, Rosalinda lent her talents to Lucent Technologies in Mesquite, where she forged meaningful connections that would last a lifetime. Yet, it was her role as a mother that brought her the greatest joy. She and Abundio worked tirelessly to provide for their family. She was a nurturing soul, forever devoted to her children: Rick Brito, Sylvia Brito Jones, Isabell Brito Page, Lucy Brito Fuentes, and Joe Brito. Her family was her pride, and she adored spending time with them, enveloping them in her unwavering affection. Rosalinda passed along her values of hard work that have been inherited by her children.
Rosalinda's spirit thrived in the melodies of mariachi, which filled her heart with happiness. She found peace and purpose in her devout Catholic faith, embodying a steadfast spirit that inspired those around her. Her convictions were unwavering, and she was a guiding light for both her family and friends. With a personality that radiated kindness, she effortlessly made others feel at ease, inviting laughter and warmth into every gathering.
In addition to her children, she is survived by her siblings, including her sisters Josephine Rivera, Janie Flores, Mary Ramirez, brothers Jesse Rivera and Manuel Rivera. Rosalinda's legacy lives on in the hearts of many. She was also the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren and the treasured great-grandmother of twelve great-grandchildren, and a very proud Godmother to five Godchildren, all of whom carry forth the love and lessons she imparted during her rich and meaningful life.
Rosalinda now rejoins her deceased family members, including her beloved husband Abundio G. Brito, and dearest daughter Sulema Brito. Together with her parents, Jesus and Consuelo Rivera, and brothers Juan and Rey, they greet her with open arms, their love transcending the boundary between life and eternity.
Rosalinda will be remembered not just for her many roles but as a soul whose very essence was woven into the fabric of those she loved. May her spirit continue to resonate in the lives she touched, a lasting emblem of love and compassion.
