On September 22, 2022, Sarah Faye Smith of Scurry, TX, loving wife, and mother of three passed away at age 80. She was born on December 23, 1941, to Earnest and Georgia Dickerson of Seagoville, TX. She worked for 30 years as a Center Director for both the Kaufman County and Dallas County Senior Citizen Services before retiring in 2015. She met her husband of 63 years, Don Smith, while attending High School in Seagoville, TX. They were married in 1959 and raised a family of three children. They lived in Seagoville until 1969, when they moved to Deer Park, TX. They moved to Scurry, TX in 1980. Faye loved her family above all else and they loved her in return. Holidays were very important to her, and she strove every year to make sure that special memories were created during these times for her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother William Dickerson of Sand Branch, TX. She is survived by her husband, Don Smith of Scurry, TX, her daughter Rhonda Jones and husband Rickey of Deer Park, TX, her son David Smith and wife Lanette of Deer Park, TX, her daughter Donna Parker and husband Kerry of Mansfield, TX, and her brother Everett Dickerson and wife Caroline of Sand Branch, TX. She is survived by 10 grandchildren, Racheal Stratford and husband Bryce of La Porte, TX, Heather Gary and husband LaRyan of Celina, TX, Cody Smith and wife Sarah of Pasadena, TX, Magon Redman and husband Tyler of Crandall, TX, Will Parker and wife Somer of Carthage, TX, Hillary Lancaster and husband Cole of Kerens, TX, Jake Parker and wife Luise of Crowley, TX, Tyler Smith of Deer Park, TX, Kylie Smith of Deer Park, TX, and Tatum Smith of Deer Park, TX. She is survived by 18 great grandchildren: Bryce Jones, Jackson Wiesen, Lexi Parker, Grayson Stratford, Lexi Jones, Kamdynn Gary, Blake Smith, Dylynn Stratford, Braelynn Gary, Graham Redman, Addison Parker, Barrett Smith, Charlie Parker, Brooks Redman, Camryn Lancaster, Ezra Gary and soon to be born Vivienne Redman and Luka Parker, and a host of friends and family.
