Thomas Harrell Cornett

Thomas Harrell Cornett, beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on October 8, 2023, at his residence in Forney, Texas. He was born on January 12, 1937, in Gilmer, Texas. Thomas was a remarkable individual whose life was dedicated to his family and his career in the vending machine industry.

Thomas possessed an innate ability to connect with people. As a sales representative in the vending machine industry, he excelled in building relationships with clients and customers. His caring and friendly nature were appreciated by all who crossed paths with him. Thomas's outgoing personality made him a joy to be around and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Before beginning his career, Thomas proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp. His dedication and commitment during his military service reflected his strong sense of duty towards his fellow Americans.

Outside of work and military service, Thomas found great joy in his hobbies and interests. After retiring, he devoted much of his time to cultivating a beautiful garden. Working amongst the flowers, plants, and vegetables brought him peace and contentment. Thomas's green thumb was renowned among family and friends, who often admired the fruits of his labor.

Thomas was deeply loved by his family. He leaves behind cherished memories for them to hold onto forever. He is survived by his son Craig Cornett of St. Petersburg, Florida, sister, Paula Morse of Wills Point, Texas, and Jo Hall of Plano, Texas, were pillars of support throughout his life's journey.

Thomas's presence will be missed dearly by those closest to him. He will be especially remembered by his granddaughter Jessica Conley and his seven great grandchildren who held a special place in his heart.

In addition to immediate family members, Thomas leaves behind many other relatives and friends who will forever cherish their time spent with him.

Preceding him in death was his spouse, Jessie Patricia Cornett in 2021, his parents Harrell Horace Cornett and Mary Josephine (London), a daughter, Cheryl Stone, and sister, Beverly Logan.

Thomas Harrell Cornett touched the lives of countless individuals during his time on earth. His kind heart and warm smile will be remembered by all who were privileged to know him. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the life of a man who brightened our days and made the world a better place.
