William Barfield

William Franklin Barfield, 80, of Kaufman, TX passed away on August 17, 2022, at home.  William was born on February 13, 1942, to Frank Ewell Barfield and Johnie Talbot Barfield in Kaufman.  He was a man of many talents.  He tried numerous jobs, but enjoyed hauling rock, wood working, building bird cages and traps, going to First Monday, hauling hay and inventing and many more talents.  William and Pearl enjoyed feeding the buzzards, and hummingbirds and rabbits.  They would worry if one didn’t show up to eat.  Every night at bedtime he would put his westerners on, get whistle britches (his mini-Macaw), get in his recliner and call it a night, which is how the Good Lord called him home.  He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother.  He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Patsy Willingham Barfield, second wife Pearl Taylor Barfield and sister Berna Dean Barfield Pate (Deana).  Those left to cherish his memory are daughters: Linda Barfield and husband Todd Starnes, Melinda Bennet and husband Jody, Melissa Barfield ; grandchildren: Tondie Barfield and husband Michael Weber, Bridget Starnes, Daisy Starnes and husband Robert Ray, Ashley Bennet, Natalie Bennett, Tigen Ingram and Haley Ingram; great grandchildren: Kota, Michelle, Blaze, Kenzie, Brooklyn, Lucy, Robert, Preslee, Bennett, Charlie, Marlee and Jaxson; children: Rosalind Reed and Randy Reed and wife Patty; grandchildren: Kim Elzner and husband Burt, Rachel Eads, Emily Eads, Johnny Reed and wife Crystal, Derick Reed; great grandchildren:  Megan, Abby, Lexi, David, Kathryn, Kennedy, Ryder, Rylee, Sarah, Randy and J.D.; children: Freddie Caldwell, Jr and wife Kathy, Sherry Caldwell Smith, Barbara Taylor Farner; grandchildren: David Caldwell, Craig Caldwell and wife Priscilla, Brady Tallas and his wife Terra, Andy Tallas and wife Natalia and Ray Johnson; great grandchildren: Presley, Christopher, Allison, Olivia and Sophie; numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
