Dorthy Lee Woodard

Dorthy Lee Woodard, 92, of Dallas, TX went home to her Lord and Savior on October 5, 2020. Dorthy was born in Quitman, TX to James and Maggie Reynolds on July 26, 1928. Dorthy married Jack Woodard in Dallas, TX on June 15, 1946. She did volunteer work at Baylor Hospital. Dorthy served as president of PTA at John Quincy Adams Elementary. She worked at Merle Norman and then worked for Borden Hammand as director of marketing. She was a life-long member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church. Those who preceded her in death are her parents, brothers: James Earl, Ralph, Ray and Gene; and daughter DeEsta Criner. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Jack Woodard of Dallas, TX; sons David Woodard of Dallas, TX and Dennis Woodard and wife Gail of Rodchester, MA; daughter DeAnna Parker and husband Kelly of Lewisville, TX; son-in-law Steve Criner of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Daniel Parker, Ashley Parker, Alexis Parker and Kelsey Velho and husband T.J.; great grandchildren: Leyla, Colton and Dexon; sister Margie Prewitt and husband Bob of Murphy, TX; numerous extended family and close friends who will miss her dearly. In honor of Dorthy Woodard, the family is asking for donations to be made to Pleasant Grove Christian Church located at 1324 Pleasant Drive, Dallas, Texas 75217.
